I was going to go to art school. In high school I was in the National Art Honor Society and had my sight set on pursuing 2D design. There was one problem though; music. From the time I could talk and move my feet I was always singing, dancing, and listening to music. So I did that instead. Music school allowed me to explore all the creative passion that has fueled my life.
I love creative expression and think it’s super important for a healthy, inspiring society. So, I want to help others express themselves. I’m able to do that through marketing.
I think a lot of creative people tend to walk this sort of non-linear path, but for me, everything I’ve done has given me the knowledge, skills, and tools to be a creative marketer.
After starting my career in licensing and copyright working for a major music publishing company in New York City for a few years, I just needed a redirect. It was through a summer-long cross country solo road trip that my passion for creativity and storytelling was reignited, and my marketing career really began.
I started a blog and Instagram channel to document this trip, honing my skills as a writer, photography, and storyteller. This led me to a gig as a writer for a music magazine, and to my first social media management clients. As I worked my way through the more lively parts of the music industry, I took on clients in hospitality, entertainment, and podcasting. I learned how to use Photoshop, got certified in graphic design, and….
